Day 1

The Airport we came into was Kuhului Airport in Northern Maui and it has just recently become the  alternate airport to Honolulu (it used to be Hilo on Hawaii). Kuhului is the main commercial center on Maui. Maui is the second largest island in the Hawaiian islands (behind Hawaii) and third largest in population (behind Hawaii and Oahu) and is its own county. Our flight was an Air Canada flight.

We have just arrived at our hotel "Maui Coast Hotel" in Kihei. It is a 3 room suite. Next to our hotel is a big empty natural area with lots of trees, bushes and singing birds. Our rental car is a silver Chevy Cavalier (most cars are silver or white because they reflect heat and stay cooler). Our license plate is MJU 581. Kihei is a town/city (honestly I don't know) in South Maui.
